Therapy for Healing, Growth & Liberation

Do you feel like you have been stuck in the same patterns that leave you feeling stressed, overwhelmed, isolated and unfulfilled? Whether you’re seeking individual therapy, couples therapy, or an intensive deep dive, this space is for you. Therapy means healing, reclaiming your story, and building the life and relationships you have been wanting - all with warm, nonjudgmental and tailored support.

For the survivors, cycle-breakers and people brave enough to make a change in our lives

Therapy with me is about more than just talking through problems (though we’ll do plenty of that). It’s about giving yourself permission to pause, reflect, and truly feel. It’s about untangling the knots of your past, understanding how they’re showing up in your present, and creating space for something new.

I can be especially helpful to you if you identify as a:
Trauma survivor reclaiming your sense of safety, self, and stability.
Cycle breaker who is doing the hard work of unlearning patterns handed down through families, cultures, or systems.
Burnout warrior looking to rediscover rest, joy, and purpose in your life.
Deeply Feeling Activist or Creative trying to make an impact and live life in creative and meaningful ways, even when it can be so heavy to do so sometimes.
Intentional or "Curse-Breaking" Parent trying to show your children love, support and try your best to have the pain from past generations stop with you.

Our work might include anything from diving into past experiences with compassion, to exploring somatic techniques that help reconnect you to your body, to rewriting the stories you’ve been carrying about who you have to be. Together, we’ll create a plan tailored to you—your goals, your values, and your vision for the future.

Individual Therapy

Therapy is all about prioritizing you and finally making space to build trust and care for yourself.

Traditional weekly therapy is consistent and has approachable steps and growth. It shows us how to make regular time for ourselves and our growth. We can also schedule a deep dive (a "therapy intensive") which involves extended sessions that can last several hours long but can also allow for weeks to months of progress in a single weekend, for instance.

If you are ready to dive deep and transform how you are living with a new form of compassionate and intentional support, I'd be honored to start this journey with you!

For Healing & Cycle Breaking Couples

No relationship is perfect. But if you’re here, it’s likely because you and your partner want to do something brave: move beyond survival mode and into deeper connection, healing, and understanding.

I can be especially helpful if you are:
✨Healing from individual or shared trauma
✨Navigating the stress of breaking generational cycles while going through life changes (career, family) together
✨ Transitioning into parenthood together or wanting to become intentional parents together.
✨You are a multiracial, LGBTQ and/or secular couple looking for an affirming and feminist therapist who will center therapy on your values rat than mine or others in our society.

In sessions, we’ll work on communication, trust, and understanding—while also exploring how larger systems (family, culture, society) might be impacting your relationship. My approach is deeply rooted in compassion, nonjudgmental support, and helping you both feel seen and valued.

How We Can Work Together

Therapy with me is a mix of heart and science—an invitation to show up as your full, messy, beautiful self and be met with care, curiosity, and actionable tools. We’ll laugh, cry, and sometimes sit in the quiet spaces between as we unpack the hard stuff and make room for healing and growth. Whether you’re working through deep trauma, navigating complex relationships, or seeking a place to breathe and reset, I’m here to walk this journey with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the process for starting therapy?

We will begin with a 15-minute phone consultation call to see if our working together would be a good fit for your goals.

If we want to begin therapy, we will then schedule your initial session. I will send you a link to your patient portal where you will be able to complete the paperwork electronically, upload your form of payment, and possibly take some notes about what goals or hopes you may have for our work together.

At your initial appointment we will talk about your story so far, what you have been experiencing and what you hope to see for yourself moving forward. We will collaborate to create your personalized treatment plan. Then we begin our care and the beautiful work that is therapy!

What is therapy like? How long does it last?
keyboard_arrow_down

This differs from person to person or couple to couple. You and I will create a plan for your care together and I can offer a number of options depending on what care would best fit for you.

I have people who want to complete considerable work and progress in a short amount of time and may prefer what we call "intensives" where they meet for longer sessions or for more frequent care to progress faster (e.g., coming in for several-hour sessions multiple days in a row for a burst of work). This can be great for folks who want to accomplish a lot in short time.

For individual care, some folks prefer brief but regular care such a structured, evidence-based trauma treatment (e.g., prolonged exposure therapy, cognitive processing therapy), meeting once per week for 10-12 weeks. Others may want to do deep therapy work with a combination of narrative exploration, somatic and experiential exercises and want to begin a journey of long-term growth and self-investment.

Couples at times come in for support during a specific transition, or specific skills (e.g., improving communication skills). As such, their treatment may be very brief. Others want to go deeper, learn more about one another and their relationship, explore new communication skills as well as deepened understanding of their values together. Our care is collaborative and tailored to your goals and needs.

Are these services virtual or in person?

Currently, all of our therapy, consultation, coaching and assessment services are virtual or telehealth. We use HIPAA compliant platforms so that you can securely engage in care from the comfort of your own home. Some workshops are offered in person locally. Please feel free to check our workshops page or sign up for our newsletter to receive updates about those if you would ever like to join us for our in-person services.

What is your cancellation policy?
keyboard_arrow_down

For therapy sessions (30-85 minutes) you can cancel your appointment up to 24 hours before your scheduled therapy session without a fee. If you cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment, you will be charged the full cost of your appointment.

For assessments and intensives where we may be blocking several hours or even most of a day aside for you, we can discuss an appropriate approach for late cancellations or no shows so that I am protected in setting aside that time for you, but you also are not responsible for the full cost of such an intensive amount of care not received. You will be informed of what this late cancellation or no show fee will be for your specific type of services before we officially book your time so that you can feel comfortable with expectations around that care and ensure this is something that works for you.

Using Insurance
I am an out-of-network provider and am happy to offer you a superbill that you can submit for possible reimbursement using your insurance plan's out of network benefits.

Why do you encourage private pay or out-of-network care (in this economy!)?
keyboard_arrow_down

As a therapist committed to authentic, compassionate and effective care, I've decided to not accept insurance or Medicare directly. I do offer limited services that are in-network for Texas residents with Aetna or United, but am not directly paneled. I offer these currently through a third party. As such I am not able to offer any in-network care for people living outside of Texas or people with other insurance plans. If you'd like to learn more, please feel free to read on.

This decision stems from my desire to offer you a therapeutic experience that is truly personalized, evidence-based, and responsive to your unique needs. Therapy should be a healing journey, free from arbitrary restrictions. Unfortunately, insurance companies often impose limitations on the type and duration of care they deem "medically necessary," which can disrupt our work together and undermine the safety and consistency that are so important in trauma recovery. Insurance policies can also restrict our ability to craft a treatment plan that fully aligns with your personal goals and preferences.

By transitioning to only private-pay and out-of-network care, I can ensure that our therapeutic relationship remains grounded in trust, transparency, and predictability. This approach allows us to set a clear, agreed-upon fee for your care without the stress of unexpected charges, denied claims, or "clawbacks" that insurance companies might impose. I've found that insurance practices can create unnecessary stress for clients and pose significant challenges for providers. For instance, insurers have been known to retroactively deny coverage for previously approved sessions, leaving me with the need to pursue payment from clients long after services have been rendered. Such practices not only affect your care experience but also create financial uncertainty and strain for both of us. Choosing to work outside the constraints of insurance enables me to maintain a focus on your well-being (and honestly mine as well).

This decision reflects a commitment to fair and equitable care, free from the pressures and limitations imposed by insurance companies.
